Rufus was living as a stray when a woman in his neighborhood noticed he was falling over a lot. Turns out, Rufus has cerebral hypoplasia (CH), a condition where the part of the brain that controls motor skills and balance didn’t develop correctly. He’s likely had this condition since he was a kitten and doesn’t know any other life. He’s very sweet and affectionate – he gets jealous when you pet other cats and immediately runs over to get in between.
Rufus loves other cats and will snuggle and bathe them. He’s also extremely playful, especially with feather toys or toys that chirp. He does wobble and fall sometimes, so he needs an adopter that’s okay with a kitty with special needs. He uses the litter box, but needs pine pellets litter and a box with high sides. He can go up and down steps but should do so with supervision until he’s adapted to his new home. Please apply to meet this sweet, special boy today.
