Meet Herman & Gertrude – A Bonded Pair with a Bond Like No Other 💛

Herman and Gertrude didn’t get the gentle start they deserved. As tiny kittens, they were cruelly dumped at a cat colony and left confined in a small, dirty crate for months—no toys, no soft beds, no love. Just each other.

Now two years old, these sweet siblings have come such a long way. While they may start off shy (and who could blame them?), all they really need is a little time and patience. Once they feel safe, their true personalities shine: loving, silly, and full of quiet charm.

Herman and Gertrude adore snuggling up together, lounging in cozy spots, and showing off their playful side when the mood strikes. They’re gentle souls who do well with other friendly cats and would thrive in a calm, low-key home that understands the beauty of earning a shy cat’s trust.

Their past was rough, but their future can be filled with love, comfort, and companionship—together, just as it should be.

About Us

Stray Cat Relief, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing medical care to stray cats who have been abandoned, neglected, or abused in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. Our mission focuses on rehoming abandoned stray cats, offering them a chance for a loving home.

We are committed to community education on the welfare of stray animals and aim to enhance the quality of life for people by offering spay/neuter services, thereby reducing the number of homeless animals on the streets. Operating through foster homes and supported by donations, Stray Cat Relief is a rescue organization.
