đź’« Refrigerator Saints: Adam, Edmond, MaryAnn, Augustine & Aloysius

They were first spotted on top of a refrigerator in an alleyway across from a quiet church—five kittens curled together like a living prayer. It was the day of one of our volunteer’s father’s funeral. In the midst of heartbreak, she looked up and saw them: a feline family clinging to each other, guarded by a mother who refused to give up.

That mother is Nancy, a quiet heroine with fierce devotion. She kept her babies safe through summer storms, alley noise, and the ache of abandonment. Somehow, she found a way to raise them atop that refrigerator—an unlikely cradle of survival. With no shelter but the metal beneath them and no comfort but each other, they endured. Nancy shielded them from the world, and they held fast to her and to one another.

Her story is just as powerful—please take a moment to read her bio [here] and consider giving her the peaceful retirement she so deeply deserves.

As for the kittens:

• Adam & Edmond, the orange boys, are playful philosophers—curious, cuddly, and always ready to explore.
• MaryAnn, the brown tabby sister, is the quiet heart of the group, observant and nurturing.
• Augustine & Aloysius, just three months old, are joy distilled into fur—bounding, tumbling, and purring like tiny engines of love.

They are deeply bonded and must be adopted in pairs or as a trio. These kittens don’t just coexist—they belong to each other. They groom, snuggle, and sleep in tangled piles, like threads in the same tapestry.

Since that day in the alley, this family has brought immeasurable joy to the volunteer who saved them. What began as a moment of profound loss became a story of healing, laughter, and love. Their presence has been a balm—and now, they’re ready to bring that same light into someone else’s life.

If you’re looking for a story of resilience, connection, and quiet miracles, this family is waiting. They’ve already transformed one life. Maybe they’re meant to transform yours.
