Sandy

❤️ The little girl who still believes someone will choose her ❤️

Sandy didn’t understand why she was suddenly outside. She didn’t understand why the door closed behind her or why her tiny body was shaking on the pavement. All she knew was that she had fleas — something she couldn’t control, something she couldn’t fix, something any baby could get. And for that, she was thrown away.

Imagine her small face looking back at the house she thought was hers. Imagine her trying to follow the only world she knew, confused when it didn’t open again. She must have wondered what she did wrong. She must have wondered why love disappeared so fast.

But here’s the part that breaks you and heals you at the same time:

Sandy never stopped hoping.

Even after being tossed aside, she stayed soft. She stayed gentle. She stayed loving. When we picked her up, she pressed her whole little body into our hands like she was trying to hug her way back into safety. She gives kisses like she’s apologizing for ever needing help. She leans in with tiny hints for affection, as if she’s checking whether she’s allowed to be loved this time.

Sandy is playful, silly, warm, and heartbreakingly sweet. She’s the kind of girl who curls into your chest like she’s stitching herself into your heartbeat. She’s ready — so ready — for a home that will never throw her away again. A home that will see her not as a burden, but as the miracle she is: a little girl who survived abandonment and still chooses love every single day.
