Timbly
❤️ The boy who cried into the dark hoping someone would finally hear him ❤️
For over a month, Timbly lived alone in the woods — a tiny, frightened boy trying to survive a world that had already given up on him. He found a hole in the earth and made it his home, curling deep inside whenever the wind shifted or a branch snapped. He learned to disappear. He learned to be silent. But at night, when the world softened and the trees stopped moving, his courage flickered just enough for him to try.
We began hearing faint meows.
Night after night.
Barely-there sounds drifting through the darkness like a question too scared to be asked out loud. We’d stop and listen, turning toward the trees, but the woods stayed still. No movement. No eyes. Just those fragile cries floating from somewhere we couldn’t yet find — a voice so small it felt like it was fading even as it reached us.
And still, Timbly kept calling.
When we finally found the hole he’d been hiding in, he was pressed so far back it looked empty. But then a tiny face appeared — trembling, dirt-smudged, eyes wide with fear and hope tangled together. He didn’t run. He didn’t hiss. He didn’t try to disappear again.
He reached toward us, like he’d been waiting all those nights for someone to finally answer him.
From that moment on, Timbly bloomed in the way only the most broken-hearted boys do.
He is sweetness stitched together from fear and longing. He is goofy and gentle and so deeply loving it feels like he’s trying to rewrite his own story with every soft touch. He hugs with his whole body, pressing close like he’s afraid you might vanish if he doesn’t hold on tight enough. He follows you everywhere — step for step, shadow to sunlight — as if staying near you is the only way he knows to keep himself safe now.
Pick him up and he melts instantly, burying his face into you, clinging with a softness that breaks your heart in the best way. He loves being held. He loves being close. He loves being yours.
Timbly is the boy who cried into the dark until someone finally heard him.
And now he’s ready for a home that will never leave him calling out alone again ❤️
