There are not enough loving homes to take in all of the outdoor cats, and some outdoor cats are not adoptable. To humanely control the feral population and encourage longer, healthier lives for outdoor cats, SCRF provides Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services. In 2021, SCRF provided TNR services to 382 cats.
We place sociable cats in foster care while networking to find them homes with loving families. Often, these cats simply need to feel safe and secure for their best personalities to shine through. It is our goal is to find a loving family for every cat. In 2021, SCRF helped 498 cats find their way to rescue, foster or their forever homes.
Our team is made up of dedicated volunteers. It truly takes a village, so we are always looking for new friends to help us save lives. One transport to the vet, one shift at a partner adoption site, one afternoon at an adoption event – it’s just that easy to help save a life. SCRF volunteers save lives, one cat at a time.

Our Mission
Stray Cat Relief is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing sterilization services and medical care to the stray cats in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. Our focus is finding homes for stray cats who’ve been abandoned and giving them a new chance at a loving home.
We are passionate about educating the community on the wellbeing of the stray animals in their neighborhood while also improving people’s lives by providing spay/neuter services to reduce the homeless animals on the streets.
