Christine, a lifelong animal lover from Northeast Philadelphia, developed her passion for helping strays at a young age, inspired by her father, who often brought home cats and dogs he found while working as a welder across the city. In recent years, her focus has shifted to TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), as well as adopting and fostering homeless cats. Christine began volunteering with the rescue a year ago and now assists with TNR efforts, transportation, trapping injured or sick cats in need of medical care, and responding to community assistance requests. She currently cares for over 20 cats, all of whom were rescued from the streets or surrendered by their previous owners. A graduate of La Salle University, Christine has been a teacher in Philadelphia for over 15 years. When she’s not busy with “cat stuff,” she enjoys reading and spending time with her 7-year-old daughter, Samantha.
