Meet Annabelle (Annie), much like the worst cat in the world, Perdita and not for the faint of heart. She came to our rescue in the summer of 2019 after her mommy died, ended up spending long periods of time alone then finally surrendered by the family. She was described to us as a bit crazy on intake but we had no idea!
We took her to vet thinking she had a medical issue and was diagnosed as perfectly healthy just the meanest cat they’ve ever seen! Annie was adopted by her deceased mommy as a kitten, always been an indoor cat and could not be released on the streets. The vet recommendation was euthanization but one of our brave fosters decided to give her a chance. Annie has had a 180 degree turnaround in the last year but still a bit of a shit.
LIKES: Sun beaming, playing with the laser pointer or in a drippy faucet. She gives cattitude a new name; she’s named after the doll in the movie Annabelle (enough said), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, and tricking you to thinking she wants a head scratch only to get you close enough to yell and scatch!
DISLIKES: kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, cats that won’t leave her alone, we suspect children (I wouldn’t try it…), the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least…HUGS. She’s single and ready to be socially awkward with a socially awkward human who understands personal space.
All that said, she has special moments and in the right home would make a great companion!
