Averin

🧡 The basement‑window boy who smiled his way into someone’s heart 🧡

Averin didn’t arrive all at once — he arrived in pieces.

A face one night.

A chirp the next.

A goofy little silhouette popping up on camera like a kid sneaking a peek into a clubhouse he desperately wanted to join.

Every evening, without fail, he’d trot up to the basement window of the home he’d chosen. He’d press his nose to the glass, peer inside with those bright, hopeful eyes, and start chatting with the resident cats like they were old friends. He’d paw at the window, tilt his head, chirp, meow, and smile — always smiling — as if asking, “Hey… can I come in too?”

He was hungry.

He was lonely.

But he was never defeated.

There was something so endearing about him — this goofy, talkative boy who kept showing up with the same unwavering hope. He didn’t skulk or hide. He didn’t act feral or fearful. He acted like a cat who believed, wholeheartedly, that someone would eventually open the door for him.

And one night, someone finally did.

The door cracked open… and Averin walked right in like he’d been practicing for this moment. Tail up. Eyes bright. Talking nonstop. He greeted everyone like he already lived there, like he’d been waiting for this exact invitation.

Now he’s all smiles — real ones, soft ones, grateful ones.

He’s safe, fed, warm, and adored, and he gives that love back with every chirp, every head bump, every silly grin. Averin is the kind of cat who makes you feel chosen. He’s joyful, affectionate, and endlessly friendly — a boy who survived by believing in people, and who now thrives because someone believed in him too.

If you want a cat who will greet you like sunshine, talk to you like you’re his favorite person, and fill your home with warmth and laughter, Averin is ready.
