Name: Bethany

  • Age: 4 months
  • Gender: female
  • Color: Tabby/White
  • Type: Female, Kittens
  • Vacinated: yes

Bethany is a sweet, young kitten that had her fair share of a rough start to life on the streets. An injury to her hind leg, that caused her to drag her leg behind her, causing road rash and muscle atropthy, and a sad life for a kitten covered in massive ticks, malnourished, and an unfortunate case of lack of tender loving care. Bethany was believed to be feral prior to her rescue, for she was scared for her life and in a great deal of pain. Within 5 minutes of bathing her, removing the ticks and administering supportive care, the relieved purrs that escaped from her was a sign that she had faith that she had a second chance at a better life. Radiographs revealed severe muscle atrophy and a fracture to Bethany’s pelvis, which was likely the result of her getting stuck in a small space and squeezing her way out, collapsing her pelvis. Hope for recovery was small, but we weren’t giving up on her! After several weeks of long trips to and from an out of state veterinary office for physical therapy and laser therapy, Bethany began to show significant improvement! Bethany now has 90% function in her injured leg, and jumps and plays like a normal kitten. She will always have a minor limp, but she is not expected to have further issues or to have any physical problems due to the injury. Bethany simply requires your patience and attention, and she will reward you with the best feline companion you could ask for. Bethany is a major snuggle bug that will happily give you hugs and kisses! Please consider adding this wonderful kitten to your family and giving her the life she deserves!
