Clover

❤️ A boy who waited for someone to notice he didn’t belong. ❤️

Clover wasn’t born in the colony where he was found. He was left there — quietly, suddenly, without explanation. One day he had a home, and the next he was standing in the middle of unfamiliar cats, unfamiliar smells, unfamiliar rules, trying to understand why the world had changed around him.

He didn’t fight for space. He didn’t know how.

He simply sat off to the side, watching the others move with a confidence he didn’t have anymore. He waited for the person who dropped him to come back. He waited for a familiar voice, a familiar door, a familiar anything. But no one came.

When rescuers finally scooped him up, Clover didn’t hiss or run. He just looked up with those wide, bewildered eyes — the look of a cat who had been trying so hard to be brave in a place he never should’ve been.

In foster care, he’s learning that safety can return. He’s a gentle soul, soft in every way, a young gentleman who wants to trust but needs a moment to be sure. Once he realizes he’s safe, he leans in with quiet sweetness, grateful for every bit of kindness offered to him. He loves soft voices, slow blinks, and the kind of affection that doesn’t rush him.

Clover isn’t broken. He’s simply healing from being left behind.

And now he’s ready for a home that will never make him wonder where he belongs again.
