“A friend is someone who helps you up when you’re down, and if they can’t, they lie down beside you and listen.” 🩵🩷

Dino was a very shy but sweet boy that came to a volunteer’s doorstep months ago. He’d come every night and roll around but run. Finally she got him in a carrier and brought him to The Scratching Post.

He was still really shy but very sweet. It took him almost 2 months to leave his condo at all. He’d want everyone to come to him in his safe place to pet him.

In early August, Clifford came into to the rescue after he was abandoned in the extreme heat in a carrier. After Clifford began feeling better, we figured to try him with Dino.

We had a feeling Dino needed a cat buddy to make him feel more comfortable and teach him things are safe for him. Of course we have other cats at the center but from experience with cats like Dino, we knew he needed a special friend not just any cat.

Clifford and Dino hit it off immediately! We were so shocked when we came in the room and Dino walked right up to us with Clifford by his side and was rubbing all over!!!!! 🥹

Now, you can find the 2 boys socializing with everyone that walks in. Dino is all over the place and always playing. He does make sure that Clifford is close by and runs over to head bump him periodically.

Sometimes a special cat needs a very special friend who will show them everything is ok and cheer them on!

Needless to say, Dino and Clifford now are a pair that need to be adopted together
