Name: Marcy

  • Age: 2-4 years
  • Gender: female
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Type: Cats, Female
  • Vacinated: yes

Marcy is having a major glow-up. Though her past is somewhat of a mystery, it was clear she’d been abused by humans and was not thriving outside, leaving her skittish and afraid to trust — for good reason!

But Marcy is a girl that knows she deserves to be loved and feel safe. After a few months of getting socialized with her foster humans, she’s progressed from hiding in a corner refusing pets to lovingly head-butting her humans while purring nonstop and making air biscuits. In-between chasing her favorite mousey, of course.

Underneath her tough-girl attitude, she’s a playful girlie with sass, spunk, a lot of personality, and irresistible puppy eyes. Baby talk and food (especially Churu sticks) are her love languages. And yes, she has lived with other cats!

We think she will always be a little nervous and have her boundaries. But seeing the progress she’s made in such a short time, and with continued work from her forever human(s), we know she will continue to open up and shine.

About Us

Stray Cat Relief is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing sterilization services and medical care to the stray cats in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. Our focus is finding homes for stray cats who’ve been abandoned and giving them a new chance at a loving home.
We are passionate about educating the community on the wellbeing of the stray animals in their neighborhood while also improving people’s lives by providing spay/neuter services to reduce the homeless animals on the streets.
We are a foster home and donation based rescue.
