Name: Mavis

  • Age: 5 months
  • Gender: female
  • Color: Black
  • Type: Female, Kittens
  • Vacinated: yes

Meet Mavis! She was named after the sweet vampire/bat character from Hotel Transylvania. Well that’s because she is partially blind (“as a bat” as the saying goes). Let me tell you that does not hold her back! She plays, gets around normally, climbs, gets up and down the stairs, and uses her litter box with no problems.

Mavis is spunky and an absolute sweetheart. She feels safe near her foster mom, loves cuddling close. She sleeps in her foster aunt’s bed every night snuggling up. When she is running around and playing, she’s right next to you on the sofa or napping on the cat tower.

She is in a foster home with several other cats, all bigger than her and she holds her own but it may be too overwhelming for her at times. She does have a little feisty side with them and chases a few down in her high energy moments. So she would probably do best solo or with one other kitty who can keep up and stand up to her kitten attitude!

Mavis had a rough start to life. If you can believe it someone abandoned her outside to fend for herself while being visually impaired. WHO DOES THAT!? She is so precious and deserves nothing but the very best family!

About Us

Stray Cat Relief, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing medical care to stray cats who have been abandoned, neglected, or abused in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. Our mission focuses on rehoming abandoned stray cats, offering them a chance for a loving home.

We are committed to community education on the welfare of stray animals and aim to enhance the quality of life for people by offering spay/neuter services, thereby reducing the number of homeless animals on the streets. Operating through foster homes and supported by donations, Stray Cat Relief is a rescue organization.
