For an entire week, Pep lived beside a busy street.
Not in a backyard. Not on a porch.
Pressed against a wall in a tiny corner where he tried his best to disappear.
Cars rushed past. People came and went. Day turned into night and back again.
And somehow this tiny kitten survived it all.
When rescuers finally reached him, Pep didn’t run.
He didn’t have the energy.
Instead, he looked up with the saddest, most exhausted little face, as though he had been waiting forever for someone to finally notice him.

Now he’s discovering all the things kittens are supposed to know: toys that crinkle, beds that feel like clouds, treats that appear from nowhere, and humans who reach toward him with kindness instead of indifference.
Watching Pep blossom has been one of rescue’s greatest rewards.
