Puff & Skippy

✨ South Philly fish‑market survivors ready for a life that doesn’t hurt

Puff and Skippy grew up in one of the harshest places a kitten can start life: a South Philly fish market where the nights were freezing, the days were loud, and survival depended on whatever their parents could pull from a dumpster. Their mom and dad did everything they could — foraging through trash, dodging traffic, bringing scraps back to their babies — but there was no shelter, no warmth, no safety. Just concrete, cold wind, and hunger.

These two watched more than any kitten ever should. They saw siblings fade. They learned too early that the world can take before it gives. And somehow, through all of that, Puff and Skippy held on to each other and made it through.

Once rescued, everything changed. Warmth. Quiet. Food that didn’t come from a dumpster. Soft places to sleep. Hands that meant comfort instead of danger. And slowly, they began to unfurl into the kittens they were always meant to be.

Puff is the gentle heart of the pair — soft, sweet, and endlessly grateful for safety. He leans into affection like he’s still amazed it exists, purring with that deep, relieved kind of joy that only a survivor knows.

Skippy carries a spark that never went out, even in the worst moments. He’s playful, curious, and brave in that scrappy, resilient way that comes from fighting for every day of your life. He adores Puff, follows him, reassures him, and curls around him like he’s protecting the last piece of family he has.

Together, they are the definition of bonded. They survived because they had each other. They healed because they stayed together. And now they’re ready for a home that will finally give them the softness they were denied for so long.

Puff and Skippy must be adopted as a pair. They’re looking for someone who sees their story, honors their survival, and wants to give two deserving boys the safe, gentle life they almost didn’t get the chance to grow into.
