Sorry
The girl who cried for a door that finally opened

In the middle of the night, when the world was quiet and every window was dark, a young girl stood outside and screamed to be let in. Not a soft meow a desperate, shaking, please dont leave me out here cry. Thats how Sorry was found: a tiny silhouette pressed against a door that wasnt hers, begging strangers for the safety shed lost.

No one knows how long shed been out there. How many nights she waited. How many times she tried a different porch, a different step, hoping someone would hear her before the cold or the fear swallowed her up. But when help finally came, she didnt run. She didnt hide. She looked up with wide, pleading eyes and walked straight into the arms that opened for her.

And once she realized she was safe, the truth of her poured out. Sorry is tender, affectionate, and heartbreakingly grateful. She leans her whole body into your hands like shes trying to anchor herself to warmth. She follows you from room to room, not wanting to lose sight of the person who finally answered her cries. She curls up close, as if shes still afraid the night might take her back.

Theres a softness to her that makes you want to protect her forever a sweetness shaped by everything she survived. Shes young, but she carries the memory of that door she couldnt open on her own. Now shes waiting for the one home where shell never have to ask again.

Sorry is ready for a life where she is wanted, welcomed, and never left outside in the dark. Whoever adopts her wont just be giving her a home; theyll be giving her the safety she begged for with every ounce of her tiny voice.
