Toots
đź’” Left Behind, Still Hoping for His Person đź’”

Toots is five years old, and he’s still trying to understand how a cat like him ended up alone in a colony he didn’t belong to. One day he had a routine, a rhythm, a life that made sense… and the next, he was standing in the middle of unfamiliar cats and cold ground, waiting for someone who never came back.

He wasn’t feral. He wasn’t street‑smart. He was just confused—walking up to anyone who passed, trying to figure out why his world had suddenly gone quiet. Colony cats kept their distance, but Toots kept trying, because that’s who he is: a gentle boy who believes people are worth trusting, even after everything.

When rescuers finally scooped him up, he didn’t fight it. He leaned in. He exhaled. He let himself hope again. And now he’s safe, warm, and ready for the kind of home that doesn’t disappear on him.

Toots is soft in all the ways that matter. He loves company, he loves comfort, and he loves being someone’s cat. He’s been waiting for the person who will choose him—and keep choosing him, every day after.
