Treela & Leafaney
💔 The Girls Who Stayed in the Tree Because the Ground Didn’t Feel Safe Anymore 💔
They don’t know why the car slowed down.
They don’t know why the door opened.
They don’t know why hands that once fed them suddenly let go.
All they remember is the rush of wind, the blur of pavement, and the moment their bodies hit the ground at a colony that wasn’t theirs — a place full of unfamiliar scents, unfamiliar cats, unfamiliar danger. Treela bolted first, her tiny heart pounding so hard she could hear it in her ears. Leafaney followed, crying out for her sister, terrified she’d lose her in the chaos.
They ran until the world narrowed to bark and branches.
Until the only safe place was up.
Until the ground felt like something that could swallow them whole.
Treela climbed the highest branch she could reach. Leafaney scrambled after her, pressing her body against her sister’s like she was trying to hold the whole world together with her heartbeat. And there they stayed — three long days, clinging to each other, too scared to come down, too scared to trust that anyone would catch them if they fell.
Three days of hunger.
Three days of shaking.
Three days of waiting for someone gentle.
When rescuers finally found them, two little faces peeked down from the leaves — wide‑eyed, trembling, but still together. Still choosing each other. Still believing that if they stayed close enough, maybe the world wouldn’t hurt as much.
And when hands reached up for them…
They didn’t run.
They didn’t fight.
They just pressed into each other, breathed out the fear, and let themselves be carried.
Treela is the quiet courage — the girl who watches first, then melts when she realizes she’s safe.
Leafaney is the soft shadow — the girl who leans into love with her whole body once she knows Treela is okay.
They are sweetness wrapped in survival.
They are gentleness shaped by fear.
They are two hearts that learned the world is safer when you face it together.
Now they’re ready for a home where no one throws them away, no one leaves them behind, and no one ever forces them to climb a tree just to feel safe again.
