Name: Ziggy aka Sigmund

  • Age: 6-9 months
  • Gender: male
  • Color: Gray Tabby & White
  • Vacinated: yes

No fear. All love.

Four words that describe these four legs and golden eyes. Ziggy (formal name Sigmund) found himself astray in Point Breeze and happened into the backyard of his foster family in early June—hungry, tired, and looking for love. He quickly showed he was nothing but fun and affection. Ziggy is about 6-9 months old but still acts like a kitten, full of energy, play, and joy. He loves eating (…lots of eating) and being picked up and held. He has no aggression to speak of and would do well with another cat, his foster family has told us. He really wants to meet their cat, but she doesn’t want anything to do with him (her problem, not his).  He’s quite the coworker too, quietly napping during zoom calls, or playing by himself. The only thing softer than his fur is his demeanor—from the tip of his whiskers to the white tip of his tail, this little guy will make an amazing companion, pet brother, and comedian. His foster family really doesn’t want to see him leave, but needs him to go to a loving home, because their other cat is older and just happier alone (crotchety). Come meet him and he will quickly win your heart forever.

About Us

Stray Cat Relief, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing medical care to stray cats who have been abandoned, neglected, or abused in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. Our mission focuses on rehoming abandoned stray cats, offering them a chance for a loving home.

We are committed to community education on the welfare of stray animals and aim to enhance the quality of life for people by offering spay/neuter services, thereby reducing the number of homeless animals on the streets. Operating through foster homes and supported by donations, Stray Cat Relief is a rescue organization.
